Fantasy for Mary

This piece is composed in memory of Mary Stroman, who died so tragically in January 2014, at the tender age of 16. Although I never met Mary, all I've heard about her paints a picture of a very funny, quirky and caring young lady, who loved animals and her family, but who also had moments of sadness. I hope my piece reflects some of these traits.
The piece somehow became jazzy at times – reflecting the wonderful life of her father, the jazz composer and conductor Scott Stroman, a good friend for some forty years. The piece is a tribute and a reflection.
