Beschreibung
"Gwyn Pritchard’s music has a restless, pulsating energy that ebbs and flows within a precise framework. ... purposeful craft, which guides the ear with intention and sophistication. ... constructed with great precision. ...full of virtuosic and precise details.
A highlight of the programme, "Res" ... sparse and austere, filled with moments that chilled like icy drops of rain on snow. ... filled with consistent urgency and unsettled searching. ... spacious and architectural in its construction.
... the evening was a fitting celebration of Pritchard’s seventieth birthday. ... a wonderful acknowledgement of Pritchard’s contribution to music making, as well as the brilliance of the Uroboros Ensemble."
Patricia Auchterlonie, Tempo, April 2019
